Rare antique blue and white ginger jar. Unusual to have original lid still existent. Three double-happiness characters on the body plus one on the lid, all over a swirling vegetative pattern of flowers and vines. No cracks or significant chips, some wear consistent with age. Porcelain glaze has a number of natural iron oxide spots. Red wax seal on bottom is the Chinese customs seal authorizing this Ginger Jar to be exported from China.
