Chinese Antique Locking Cabinet

This unique locking antique Chinese cabinet is in excellent original condition, considering its age. The original finish and paintings, though aged, still portray it cabinet original beauty. Its strong proportions make it a beautiful addition to any room. Made from durable Yumu, this piece features two central door panels which open to a large storage compartment with a central shelf. Two upper drawers, decorated with intricate lotus blossoms relief carvings, pull out for additional storage. A stile, located between the drawers acts as a lock for both the cabinet area and the drawer area. Detailed floral spandrels connect the top of the cabinet to the frame. The brass latch and door pulls seem to be original. Could have a vessel placed on top to be used as a vanity in a bathroom.
