Chinese Han Dynasty Terra-cotta Horse with Original Pigment
Sold. Please see out currently available items in the red navigation to the left.
A rare treasure-approximately 2,000 years old. Once bearing wooden legs and a hairy tail, this terra-cotta horse retains much of its original pigment. The colors are quite vibrant, making it a rare find for its age. Images and symbols are painted on its neck, body, rump and saddle area. It is simply modeled with an elongated neck, flared nostrils, open mouth, and bulging eyes. An opening in the middle of the horse's back would have facilitated the attachment of a rider. It is mounted for display. Shipping of this selection to your location within the continental United States is
