Make a design statement with this antique Chinese trunk. Perfect storage and for use as a coffee table, at the foot of a bed or as an accent piece. It had a delightful reddish brown patina on all sides. The front is beautifully painted in yellow, orange, gold, red and black. The scenes are of vases, flowers, geometric shapes, Chinese characters and books bound in ribbon. There are simple carvings at the bottom of the chest and one strip of wood is painted a very subtle blackish green. There are nicks of wear and tear on the top of the chest. The front has a brass latch and there are brass hinges on the rear.
