Life-sized replica of one of the terra-cotta soldiers found in the funeral pits in Xi'an, China. Each figure in the pits has a unique face and was crafted and buried to protect the tomb of the emperor, Qin Shi Huang the First Emperor of China, almost 2,000 years ago. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terra-cotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 100 chariots with 400 horses and 300 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. The head is removable from the body, just like the original soldier statues in Xi'an. The exterior of this replica is not sealed, so it would not be suitable for display outside for a long period of time.
