Traditional wall treatments include paint, wallpaper, wood paneling, tile, mirrors and glass. Each of these treatments has many variations and each has pros and cons.
A wall too high? Use the “3-tier style” solution. Cover the bottom section with a dark wood, middle section with chair railing of contrasting color, and cover the top section with a light color wallpaper or paint.
Walls too low? Then paint the walls, baseboards and ceiling the same light color.
Make a square room more exciting by painting one wall a more brilliant color than the others.
