To hide or display?
In our kitchens our design style usually dictates whether we hide or display our dishes and pots. But remember, don’t let your design style restrict you, be creative!
In a modern kitchen, you tend not to display. Everything is hidden, all surfaces sleek. Display might only be a beautiful piece of art.
In a country kitchen, perhaps everything is visible thru glass door cabinets or just on open shelves.
Large kitchens easily allow for more display, but a smaller, more compact apartment kitchen may require that you hang items from the walls and ceiling.
Unhooking pots from an overhead rack is a lot easier then bending down and retrieving from a low dark cabinet.
Just like fresh fruits and vegetables, displaying can and commodity goods can be a great design statement.
