Silk Road Collection Consignment Policy

Chinese Furniture, Asian Art, and Oriental Antiques Consignment

Items are placed on consignment at Silk Road Collection at the discretion of the owners for a mutually agreed on price. Terms of the consignment agreement are negotiated on an individual basis. Price is determined by appraisal, by the amount you wish to receive, and/or by the amount for which we believe the item will actually sell in our showroom or on our website. When the item sells, the sale price is generally split 50%/50% between you and us.

Items accepted on consignment are featured on our website. Consignment items also appear on GoAntiques.com, Google Shopping, and Amazon.com. They may also appear on AsianArt.com and other online shopping sites. From our share of the sale price, we pay for photography, marketing, and sales commissions.

We request consignment items be delivered to us in New Orleans. Due to shipping costs, that is often not practical for furniture items. As an alternative, you may want to consider selling your items via CraigsList.org.
