- From reign (1735-1796) of Qianlong, forth emperor of the Chinese Ching Dynasty. Beautiful deep blue glaze with gold designs. Good condition with slight hairline crack.

A certain American Army officer was stationed in China immediately after the Boxer Rebellion of 1899-1901. His family lore says that this bowl and an altar hanging were removed from a temple by the officer and his troops and taken to the USA where they remained in the possession of the officer's family, until now.
