Antique Chinese ice box cabinet. It is our understanding that a block of ice would be placed in a pan on the cabinet shelf and the open shelf would allow for the cool air to flow around the items on the bottom. Today it would be a "cool" bed-side cabinet. Intricate carvings of florals and long-life symbols on doors and drawers. Brass hinges and pulls on doors and drawers. Medium-brown finish will add warmth to any room.
