Antique Chinese Stacking Traveling Chests

Four cabinets in one. This antique Chinese cabinet is arranged by stacking four separate traveling chests onto each other. The effect is beautiful and very functional. The top three cabinet sections have brass carrying handles on each side and each of the four cabinets has two doors, with brass pulls. Inside the bottom section are two shelves and two drawers. Lovely molding surrounds each cabinet and the bottom spandrel is nicely carved. The top cabinet features intricate carvings, gilded and framed with sand finished borders. The lower doors are hand-painted flowers in muted pastels with a light yellow background. Very similar to Item # BK0098y.
