At the gathering, Silk Road Collection displayed an array of its antique Chinese furniture, plus many beautiful interior accessory items.
The designers, design students and the general public got to see first-hand the craftsmanship, finishes, style and beauty of the antiques. They, in turn, shared stories of their design projects using Chinese and Asian furniture and accessories.
At the celebration banquet, the outgoing chapter president, Michelle Verdigets, presented Silk Road Collection's Donald St.Pierre with herPresident's Award for his service and support to the New Orleans ASID organization.
The entire organization acknowledged and thanked Michelle for her untiring leadership and guidance of the chapter during the very difficult times following Hurricane Katrina and Rita.
